Meyerhoff Approves Immediate Grants in Response to Baltimore Unrest

On May 19, 2015, the trustees of the Joseph and Harvey Meyerhoff Family Charitable Funds recently approved $125,000 in grants responding to Baltimore’s recent unrest. Grants were made to the Maryland Food Bank, OSI-Baltimore Justice Fund and a variety of nonprofits providing youth programming this summer. These grants reflect our commitment to community building work and partnerships throughout the city as we work together to develop longer term strategies addressing the root causes of recent events. The privilege of working with so many talented and committed fellow citizens makes us confident that Baltimore will emerge stronger and healthier in the months and years ahead.
